Meta Description

God is not finished with you yet. No matter where you are in your journey, He is still shaping, molding, and growing you into the person He created you to be. Learn why the process is worth trusting.

God Is Still Shaping Every Part of My Life

I know for sure that this:

God is still shaping me.

I have not arrived.

I do not know everything.

I do not have everything figured out.

I still have areas where I need to grow.

I still have things God is working on in my heart.

And honestly…

I am thankful for that.

Because if God stopped working on me, I would never become the person He created me to be.

I truly believe that every day God is teaching me something.

Some days, He teaches me patience.

Some days, He teaches me humility.

Some days He teaches me to trust Him more.

Some days, He teaches me to slow down.

Every lesson is helping shape me into someone who looks more like Christ.

That is the person I want to become.

I Want God to Keep Working on Me

If I am being honest, I do not want God to leave me the way I am.

Yes, there are areas where I have grown.

There are things I have overcome.

There are lessons I have learned.

But I also know there are still places in my life that need His touch.

There are still attitudes He is correcting.

Still, habits, he is changing.

Still, thoughts are renewing.

Still fears He is helping me overcome.

I need Him to continue working on every part of my life.

Not just the parts people can see.

The hidden parts, too.

The thoughts no one hears.

The struggles no one knows about.

The places only God sees.

That is where I want Him to continue doing His work.

The Potter Knows What He Is Doing

One of my favorite pictures in the Bible is God as the Potter.

When a potter works with clay, the clay does not tell the potter what to do.

The potter knows exactly what he is creating.

Sometimes he presses on the clay.

Sometimes he reshapes it.

Sometimes he starts over.

Not because the clay has no value.

But because he sees what it can become.

I think our lives are a lot like that.

There are times when God allows pressure.

There are seasons when He reshapes us.

There are moments when He removes things from our lives.

At the time, we may not understand why.

But He knows exactly what He is doing.

And I trust Him.

πŸ“– Jeremiah 18:6 (KJV)

“O house of Israel, cannot I do with you as this potter? saith the Lord…”

Every time I read that verse, I am reminded that I am in the hands of the Master Potter.

There is no better place to be.

I Need to Stay on the Potter’s Wheel

I have realized that I need to stay on the Potter’s wheel.

Because every time I think I have arrived, God shows me another area where I can grow.

And I am okay with that.

Growth is part of the journey.

If I leave the Potter’s wheel too soon, I may miss what God is trying to do in me.

I do not want that.

I want Him to continue molding me.

Continue teaching me.

Continue correcting me.

Continue shaping my heart.

Because I know His way is always better than mine.

God Changes Us From the Inside Out

Sometimes people focus only on outward changes.

God starts with the heart.

He changes the way we think.

The way we speak.

The way we treat people.

The way we respond.

The way we love.

The way we forgive.

Those are the changes that truly matter.

People may notice the outside.

God is transforming the inside.

And when the inside changes, the outside naturally follows.

I Am Not Trying to Impress People

One thing I have learned is that I cannot spend my life trying to impress people.

People’s opinions change.

One day, they may praise you.

The next day, they may criticize you.

If I build my life on trying to please everyone, I will become exhausted.

That is why I have made up my mind.

I am not here to prove anything to people.

I want my life to honor God.

He is the One I want to please.

He is the One I want to become more like.

He is the One whose opinion matters most.

That takes a lot of pressure off me.

Because I know I cannot make everyone happy.

But I can choose to be faithful to God.

πŸ“– Galatians 1:10 (KJV)

“For do I now persuade men, or God?… if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ.”

That verse reminds me to keep my focus where it belongs.

Let’s Make This Practical

If you want to allow God to continue shaping your life, here are a few things that have helped me.

1. Stay Teachable

Never think you have learned everything.

There is always more that God wants to teach us.

2. Welcome God’s Correction

Correction is not punishment.

It is proof that God loves us enough to help us grow.

3. Spend Time With God Daily

The more time we spend with Him, the more He shapes our hearts.

4. Trust the Process

Growth takes time.

Do not become discouraged if everything does not change overnight.

5. Keep Surrendering

Every day is another opportunity to say,

“Lord, have Your way in my life.”

Growth Is Not Always Comfortable

If I am being honest, growth is not always easy.

Sometimes it hurts.

Sometimes God asks us to let go of things we have held onto for years.

Sometimes He changes our plans.

Sometimes He stretches our faith.

Sometimes He asks us to forgive when we do not feel like it.

Sometimes He teaches us patience through waiting.

Those moments are not always comfortable.

But they are always worth it.

Because every lesson brings us closer to becoming who God created us to be.

God Is Patient With Me

I thank God for His patience.

He does not give up on me when I make mistakes.

He does not walk away when I fall short.

He lovingly corrects me.

He forgives me.

He teaches me.

He gives me another opportunity to grow.

That reminds me to be patient with myself, too.

I may not be where I want to be yet.

But thank God I am not where I used to be.

That is evidence that He is still working.

Every Season Has a Purpose

Looking back over my life, I can see how God has used every season to shape me.

The joyful seasons.

The waiting seasons.

The difficult seasons.

The seasons of change.

The seasons of uncertainty.

Every one of them taught me something.

Every one of them brought me closer to Him.

I would not have chosen every season.

But I am grateful for what God produced through them.

Because without those seasons, I would not be who I am today.

Final Thought: Keep Me on the Potter’s Wheel

If there is one thing I hope you take away from this, it is this:

God is not finished with you.

And He is not finished with me either.

I still need Him every single day.

I still need His wisdom.

His correction.

His guidance.

His love.

His grace.

I want Him to keep shaping every part of my life.

I want Him to continue molding me into the person He created me to be.

Because I know His plans are far greater than anything I could create on my own.

So my prayer is simple.

“Lord, keep me on the Potter’s wheel.”

Do whatever You need to do in my life.

Remove what does not belong.

Strengthen what does.

Teach me.

Grow me.

Mold me.

Help me become more like Jesus every day.

I am not trying to be perfect for people.

I want to honor the One who gave His life for me.

And I know that as long as I stay in His hands, He will continue shaping me into something beautiful for His glory.

Scriptures

πŸ“– Jeremiah 18:1-6 (KJV)

“As the clay is in the potter’s hand, so are ye in mine hand…”

πŸ“– Philippians 1:6 (KJV)

“Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ.”

πŸ“– Isaiah 64:8 (KJV)

“But now, O Lord, thou art our father; we are the clay, and thou our potter…”

πŸ“– Galatians 1:10 (KJV)

“For… if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ.”

Reflection Questions

  • Am I allowing God to continue shaping every area of my life?
  • Is there an area where I have been resisting His work?
  • Am I trying to please people more than I am trying to please God?
  • What lesson might God be teaching me in this season?
  • How can I surrender more fully to the Potter’s hands today?

Prayer

Heavenly Father,

Thank You for never giving up on me and for continuing to shape every part of my life. I know I am still growing, and I am grateful that You love me enough to keep molding me into the person You created me to be.

Help me stay on the Potter’s wheel, even when the process is uncomfortable. Teach me to trust Your hands, knowing that You are creating something beautiful according to Your perfect plan.

Forgive me for the times I have focused too much on pleasing people instead of pleasing You. I desire to honor You with my life and become more like Christ each day.

Continue working on my heart, my thoughts, my words, and my actions. Remove anything that does not reflect You and strengthen everything that brings You glory.

Thank You for Your patience, Your grace, and Your unfailing love. I trust that you are not finished with me yet.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.

With Love,
