When God redirects our plans, we often think it’s a bad thing. I’m here to tell you—it’s not. I thank God for every redirection in my life, because there were times I could have been caught up in something I didn’t even realize would harm me.
I’m very grateful for the moments when God led me in another way, even when I questioned why things weren’t working or why I had to take a different direction. At the time, I didn’t understand it. But now I can see that the whole time, God was redirecting me to something safer or aligning me with something better.
I’ve come to understand that God’s plans are far better than my own. So why is it that we ask God for something, but then turn around and question Him when He gives us instructions or redirects our path?
I had to learn to stop fighting God and allow Him to work. Trusting His direction—even when it didn’t make sense—brought peace. When I let go of control and allowed God to lead, things began to fall into place.
So let God redirect your plans. Don’t fight Him on it. Trust that He sees what you can’t see. It may not feel good at first, but it will work out in the end.
I encourage you to share your testimony as well. You never know who your story may help.
Sometimes God redirects our plans—not to harm us, but to protect and guide us. What feels like a setback may actually be a setup for something better. Trusting God’s redirection leads to peace.
Scripture (KJV)
“A man’s heart deviseth his way: but the Lord directeth his steps.”
— Proverbs 16:9
