When You’ve Already Made Up Your Mind
Let me say this clearly:
It’s still yes.
God ain’t change my mind.
And I’m not saying that in pride.
I’m saying that from a place of growth.
From a place of understanding.
From a place of knowing what it means to truly walk with God.
Because there was a time when my answer would change depending on how I felt.
If it got hard, I would hesitate.
If it didn’t make sense, I would question it.
If it didn’t go my way, I would second-guess everything.
But now?
It’s still yes.
Even when it’s uncomfortable.
Even when I don’t understand.
Even when I don’t see the outcome yet.
Saying Yes to God Is a Commitment
Saying yes to God is not just words.
It’s a decision.
It’s a commitment that says:
“Lord, I trust You… even when I don’t understand You.”
Because let’s be real—
It’s easy to say yes when everything is going right.
But what about when things get difficult?
What about when God asks you to do something that stretches you?
What about when obedience costs you something?
Luke 9:23 (KJV) says:
“If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily…”
That means saying yes is not a one-time thing.
It’s daily.
Every single day, we have to choose:
God’s way over our way.
Obedience over comfort.
Faith over feelings.
When Feelings Try to Change Your Answer
There are going to be moments when your feelings try to shift your yes.
You might feel tired.
You might feel discouraged.
You might feel like giving up.
And that’s where many people change their minds.
They start strong.
They say yes with excitement.
But when it gets hard…
They pull back.
But I’ve learned something:
You can’t let your feelings lead your faith.
Jeremiah 17:9 (KJV) says:
“The heart is deceitful above all things…”
That means your emotions will lie to you if you let them.
That’s why your yes has to be rooted in God…
Not your feelings.
Staying Steady When It Gets Hard
Let’s be honest again—
Walking with God is not always easy.
There are days when you don’t feel like it.
Days when you don’t understand what He’s doing.
Days when you want to go back to what feels familiar.
But growth happens when you stay.
When you don’t walk away.
When you don’t give up.
When you don’t change your mind.
Galatians 6:9 (KJV) says:
“Let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.”
That means:
Don’t stop.
Don’t quit.
Don’t change your yes.
Because something is coming.
God Didn’t Change — Why Should You?
This is something I had to really think about:
God hasn’t changed.
He’s still faithful.
He’s still good.
He’s still keeping His promises.
So why should I change my yes?
Hebrews 13:8 (KJV) says:
“Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.”
That means He’s consistent.
Unchanging.
Steady.
And if I say I’m following Him…
Then I should be steady too.
Your Yes Will Be Tested
Let me tell you something real:
Your yes will be tested.
There will be situations that try to pull you away.
People who don’t understand your walk.
Moments where it feels easier to quit.
But tests don’t come to break you.
They come to reveal what’s really in you.
James 1:3 (KJV) says:
“The trying of your faith worketh patience.”
That means your yes is being strengthened.
And every time you stay committed…
You grow.
Obedience Over Everything
At the end of the day…
It comes down to obedience.
Because you can say yes with your mouth…
But your actions will show if you mean it.
1 Samuel 15:22 (KJV) says:
“To obey is better than sacrifice…”
That means God is not looking for performance.
He’s looking for obedience.
Real obedience.
Consistent obedience.
Even when nobody is watching.
Don’t Let the World Change Your Yes
We live in a world where people change their minds quickly.
One minute they’re in.
Next minute, they’re out.
But when it comes to God…
We can’t be like that.
Romans 12:2 (KJV) says:
“Be not conformed to this world…”
That means don’t follow the patterns of the world.
Because the world will tell you:
“Do what feels good.”
“Change your mind if it gets hard.”
“Go back if it’s easier.”
But God says:
Stay.
Trust Me.
Follow Me.
A Yes, That Doesn’t Change
My yes now is different.
It’s not based on feelings.
It’s not based on situations.
It’s not based on what’s easy.
It’s based on trust.
Trust that God knows what He’s doing.
Trust that His way is better.
Trust that even when I don’t see it…
He’s working.
Proverbs 3:5–6 (KJV) says:
“Trust in the Lord with all thine heart… and he shall direct thy paths.”
That’s what my yes is built on now.
Final Thought: Stay Committed
So today, I stand on this:
It’s still yes.
No matter what comes.
No matter how it feels.
No matter how long it takes.
God ain’t change my mind.
Because I’ve seen what He can do.
I’ve felt His presence.
I’ve experienced His faithfulness.
And once you know that…
You don’t go back.
Reflection Questions
1.Is my yes to God consistent, or does it change based on how I feel?
2. What situations have tested my commitment to God?
3. How can I stay grounded in my faith when things get difficult?
Closing Prayer
Heavenly Father,
Thank You for reminding me what it truly means to say yes to You. Help me to stay committed, even when things get hard. Strengthen my faith so that I don’t let my feelings change my obedience. Teach me to trust You fully and to walk in Your will daily. Let my yes be steady, strong, and unchanging. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Encouraged by Faith

When I decided to say yes to God, it wasn’t just a moment-it was a turning point in my life. It meant letting go of control and trusting something greater than myself, even when I didn’t have all the answers. I chose to open my heart, to listen more deeply, and to walk a path guided by faith instead of fear. Saying yes meant accepting that I am still growing, still learning, and still imperfect-but willing. I didn’t suddenly become perfect, but I became more aware, more grounded, and more connected. This commitment is personal. It shows up in my quiet moments, in my prayers, in how I treat others, and in how I keep going even when things feel uncertain. Saying yes to God is something I continue to choose every day. When I stumble, I know I’m not alone. That yes still stands.
