There are moments in life when trusting God feels hard. Not because we don’t believe in Him, but because everything around us feels heavy, confusing, and uncertain. I’ve been there—praying, waiting, hoping—and feeling like nothing was happening.
There were times when I honestly felt like God wasn’t hearing my prayers. I was asking, believing, and expecting something to come through, but instead, I was met with silence. The weight of unanswered prayers began to sit heavily on my shoulders, and uncertainty started to creep into my heart.
I remember thinking, “Lord, You said to ask, and it shall be given.” Yet, nothing seemed to be moving. No doors are opening. No clear answers. Just waiting. I won’t lie—I was upset. I felt discouraged, and for a moment, I considered giving up.
But in that moment, I had to pause and recognize what was really happening.
That doubt wasn’t coming from God—it was the enemy trying to make me believe that God wasn’t faithful. Trying to make me feel like God was a liar, when I know He is not. God has never failed me, even when I didn’t understand His timing.
I had to humble myself and ask God for forgiveness—not because He was wrong, but because my heart was responding out of frustration instead of trust. I realized that just because I didn’t receive what I wanted right away didn’t mean God wasn’t working. It simply meant I had to wait.
Waiting isn’t easy, especially when life feels uncertain. But waiting teaches us something important: trust. Trusting God doesn’t mean we understand everything. It means we believe He’s still in control, even when nothing makes sense.
Now, when I pray or desire something, my words have changed. I say, “Lord, let Your will be done.” I trust that if it’s meant for me, He will make a way. And if it’s not, He has something better in store.
Life will always have uncertain moments. There will be seasons when prayers feel unanswered, and faith feels tested. But those are the moments when trusting God matters most. He is working behind the scenes, aligning things we cannot yet see.
So if you’re in a season where life feels heavy, confusing, or uncertain, don’t give up. Keep trusting. Keep believing. God hears every prayer, sees every tear, and knows exactly what you need.
Trust Him—even when it’s hard.

“Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.”
Proverbs 3:5–6 (KJV)
💛 Reflection Question
What is something you’ve been waiting on God for, and how can you choose to trust Him with it today?
🙏 Closing Prayer
Heavenly Father,
Thank You for being faithful even when life feels uncertain. When my heart is heavy, and my prayers feel unanswered, help me to trust You more and lean not on my own understanding. Forgive me for the moments I doubted or became weary in waiting. Strengthen my faith, renew my hope, and remind me that You are always working behind the scenes for my good. I place my life, my plans, and my future into Your hands. Let Your will be done.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Ty
